In 2008, we had nearly 100 authors posting content on CustomerThink. My sincere thanks to them all for writing the articles and blogs that make this site the leading voice in customer-centric business management.

Before we sign off on a turbulent year, special kudos are in order for our top 10 authors. These thought leaders posted the most popular featured content to inform, inspire and spark debate.

For each author, I've selected my personal favorite for 2008. Enjoy!

  1. Graham Hill, Customers & More
For the second year in a row, Graham is our top author over all, and also earned the No. 1 honors for featured content in the "CRM" role.
Bob's Fav: Using CRM to Win in a Recession
  2. Andrew Rudin, Outside Technologies
Andy was our top author in the "sales" category by a wide margin. And deserves a special award for most creative titles.
Bob's Fav: To An Octopus, "50" Means Nothing: Why Empathy Matters
  3. Jim Barnes, Barnes Marketing Associates
Our top author for CEO-targeted content, Jim is a clear thinker about how to make a customer-centric strategy really work.
Bob's Fav: Get Out of Your Comfort Zone to Measure What Matters to Customers
  4. Dick Lee, High-Yield Methods
Nobody does a better job than Dick articulating the value of well-designed processes. Or skewering clueless companies.
Bob's Fav: It's Time for "Trickle Up" Economics
  5. John I. Todor, Ph.D., The Whetstone Edge
In 2008, John was our top author covering the fast-emerging world of social media, and how to make it work in a business environment.
Bob's Fav: Social Networks and Online Communities Create Elastic Ties and Surprisingly Powerful Pay-Offs
  6. Bob Thompson, CustomerThink Corp.
With all the great authors this year, I had to work hard just to make the top 10!
Bob's Fav: Use Speech Analytics to Reduce Calls That Frustrate Customers and Hurt Productivity

A thought leader in customer experience, Sampson's posts are rich with insights backed up with solid research.
Bob's Fav: To Create Advocates, You Have to Differentiate Your Organization
  8. David Rance, Round
Once again David is our leading author explaining how caring for customers can be a source of profitable growth, not just costs to minimize.
Bob's Fav: Don't Just Pay Lip Service to Empowering Your Employees; Enable Their Customer Passion
